INO was founded in 2001, when a privately owned b2b winery, EVOIKI S.A., acquired the company of the local association of winegrowers, which had been producing wine from the early 1960's.

INO owns modern wine-making and bottling facilities in Thebes.  INO and Evoiki combined, can process grapes, make, store, and bottle up to 400.000 hl of wine annually.  In the group's wine making facilities end up grapes from all over Greece: Macedonia, Peloponnesus, Crete and Central Greece.

INO also owns a 12-acre private vineyard. The purpose of this experimental vineyard is the acclimatization of international varieties (such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc) in the environment of Central Greece, and the opportunity for INO's R&D department of three oenologists to test new flavors, mixes or combination, so we can produce truly distinctive wines in a way that takes advantage of the scale and the technological edge that its facilities offer in producing wines with a unique quality to price ratio.

Quality Assurance

INO winery has been successfully certified by DQS according to IFS (International Food Standard) - Higher Level. This is a result of its continuing efforts and engagement towards quality management and product safety.

The Certification Scope is Wine Production and Bottling (including procurement, raw materials handling, production, storage & distribution). The International Food Standard was established by the German and French associations of retail trade. IFS is developed for all type of retailers (all sizes of companies and shops, independent or not) and for wholesalers with similar activities (e.g. cash and carry). They all have to ensure the safety of their "own branded" products they sell. IFS helps to comply with all legal safety requirements and gives common and transparent standards to the all concerned suppliers as well as a concrete and strong answer to the high safety expectations of customers.

IFS certification is for INO the fulfillment of a 4year quality investment plan, which began early 2005 with the implementation of Quality Assurance Management and installation of the HACCP system according to ELOT EN ISO 9001:2000 and ELOT 1416.

INO's better-known wines are:

• Likno wines: Everyday table wines in 750, 1500, and 2000 ml bottles with a unique ratio of quality to price.
