TSILILI WINERY - DISTILLERY
(Theopetra Estate)
The vineyards and distillery-winery Tsilili are situated just to the east of the rocky outcrops of Meteora and the prehistoric cave of Theopetra in the district of Thessaly. The Tsilili family pioneered the commercial production of "tsipouro" in Thessaly, a designation now recognised as an authentic Greek spirit by the European Union, and has been instrumental in promoting the drink on the international stage. In addition to this, a series of monovariety grape distillates has been created from selected Greek grapes and foreign varieties of grape grown on the Theopetra wine estate. Rounding out the Tsilili collection is a line of labelled wines of limited production from grapes representative of the area.

The winery-distillery's facilities are accessable for the wide audience who are visiting the area and are their priority, among with the Meteora rocks and monasteries, the Theopetra cave and the traditional mountainous villages of the area.
